Savoury Italian tomato variety with lots of flesh.
The Roma tomato is a relative of the Marzano tomato and bears firm, shiny red, egg-shaped fruits (approx. 10 cm in size). The large amount of flesh and few seeds make it a real all-rounder in the kitchen. It is perfect for grilling and preserving, as well as for making tomato juice or tomato puree. It grows to a height of around 1.50 metres and can be grown both in the greenhouse and in protected open ground.
